Bethany Oberg, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

You just want to be around Bethany. Her energy, presence, and connectability are infectious for girls and teens at our Center.  So many parents who bring their daughters to our Center feel disconnected from their child; they just don’t know what to do or where to turn for support. This is where Bethany comes in.  She is not only likable, but also clinically trained to help support and guide your daughter through the potentially tumultuous time of adolescence and young adulthood.

Additionally Bethany has a love and passion for working with couples, especially in times of conflict.  Her Gottman training helps to give her a strong framework for supporting couples in creating healthy, life long patterns.

Credentials:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University
  • Master of Arts degree from The University of Louisiana at Monroe
“We were so happy to have found Bethany.  She helped our daughter gain confidence in dealing with other girls, and to stand up for herself in difficult situations.  Our daughter is now happily engaged at school and has gained a lot of perspective on the day to day struggles of 5th grade.”

“Bethany is the best therapist I have had in any type of treatment (she is now the 5th therapist).  I have finally found the perfect fit and I am so grateful.  She helped me to really dig into my thoughts and understand my disorder.”

Dear Bethany, you helped me realize my deep needs and to communicate them to my family.  Thank you for always greeting me with ‘you’re alive’, letting me know the severity of my disorder.  – Teen girl with eating disorder

“I am in a better place now because Michelle guided me through the dark and into the light. She never once told me what to do or how to feel, but she helped me figure out how I was truly feeling during a time when it was hard for me to know. I definitely owe my newfound confidence to Michelle. Without her, I don’t know how I would’ve been able to come out of my horrible situation as such a better version of myself. Thank you for all of your help Michelle!!”
